Aber die Realität am Ende der Ära Ulbricht sah anders aus: Die ernstgemeinten Versuche, den Frauen das Nutzen ihrer Gleichberechtigung zu ermöglichen, waren zu einem großen Teil an der strikten ökonomischen Orientierung der SED-Frauenpolitik gescheitert und trugen zudem zur Festigung adjust Rollenklischees bei.
Im Folgenden gilt es, zu klären inwiefern die frauenpolitischen Maßnahmen der 1960er den Frauen der DDR wirklich mehr Gleichberechtigung einbrachten und welche Aspekte der Gleichberechtigung noch nicht verwirklicht waren.
Um Antworten auf diese Fragen zu finden, werde ich mich mit den wichtigsten Bereichen und Maßnahmen der SED-Frauenpolitik in den 1960er Jahren beschäftigen. Hierbei soll zunächst als foundation der Betrachtungen geklärt werden, welchen Inhalt der Begriff Gleichberechtigung hat bzw. hatte. Im Anschluss werde ich einen Einblick in den ideologischen und historischen Hintergrund der SED-Politik dieser Zeit geben. Dadurch wird die im darauf folgenden Abschnitt behandelte SED-Frauenpolitik der 1960er verständlicher sein. Es werden in diesem Abschnitt nur einige richtungsweisende Maßnahmen der SED-Frauenpolitik beleuchtet, da die Masse an neuen Verordnungen zur Gleichberechtigung in diesem Rahmen nicht vollständig dargestellt werden kann. Nach der Auseinandersetzung mit den verschiedenen Maßnahmen der Frauenpolitik in den 1960ern werde ich mich den erwünschten und unerwünschten Folgen dieser Politik widmen. In den Schlussbetrachtungen wird dann der Bogen zwischen der Fragestellung, den Hintergründen und den Zielen und Folgen der SED-Frauenpolitik geschlossen. Ein Urteil über das tatsächliche Ausmaß an Gleichberechtigung zum Zeitpunkt der Feststellung Honeckers wird die Arbeit abschließen.
Als Basisliteratur dieser Arbeit sind vor allem die Auseinandersetzungen zum Thema von Hildebrandt und Kreutzer hervorzuheben.

Kann die Nationaldemokratische Partei Deutschlands (NPD) verboten werden? Einige Autoren behaupten: Ja, sie kann. Die NPD lege eine aggressiv kämpferische Haltung gegen die freiheitliche demokratische Ordnung des Grundgesetztes an den Tag. Nichtsdestotrotz scheiterte das Verbotsverfahren gegen die NPD, das im Januar beziehungsweise März 2001 von Bundestag, Bundesrat und Bundesregierung vor dem Bundesverfassungsgericht angestrengt wurde. Das Bundesverfassungsgericht traf keine Entscheidung in der Sache. Am 18. März 2003 verkündeten die Richter, das Verfahren gegen die NPD werde aus prozessrechtlichen Gründen eingestellt. Das Verfahren conflict an der Tatsache gescheitert, dass die NPD durch V-Leute des Verfassungsschutzes bis in die höchsten Parteigremien unterwandert conflict. Mit der Entscheidung, das Verbotsverfahren gegen die NPD einzustellen, hat das Bundesverfassungsgericht gleichzeitig die Anforderungen an ein Parteiverbot verschärft. Das Parteiverbot, welches in paintings. 21 Abs. 2 Grundgesetz (GG) seine rechtliche Grundlage findet, bildet ein point der „wehrhaften" oder auch „streitbaren Demokratie" der deutschen Verfassung.
